Our custom server mod, built from scratch for CoD2 — currently at v1.6.0. Works with both 1.0 and 1.3 clients, nothing extra to install.

Smarter Weapon Menus

Pick from every team's arsenal in one menu, see live weapon stat bars (damage, fire rate, mobility) and who's currently using each gun.

Better Scoreboards

Scrollable scoreboards for every gametype with headshots, melee kills and DM's unique "Kill Stolen" tracking.

Fairer Fights

zPAM-style double kills (corpses don't block your follow-up shots), kill assists, and consistent timing at any server framerate.

Open Multiplayer, press ~ to open console, then run:

If console is disabled, enable it from game options first. You can also use the Connect Now button at the top.

Recommended game version is 1.3 with CoD2x installed.

If you're getting stutters on Windows 10/11, ISLC (Intelligent Standby List Cleaner) can help stabilize memory usage.

  1. Download from Wagnardsoft
  2. Run as Administrator
  3. Set memory threshold to half your RAM
  4. Set polling rate to 1000ms
  5. Click Start and minimize

Tip: Disabling overlays (Discord/GeForce) can help if you still see frame drops.

How to install (client on Windows)

  1. You need original Call of Duty 2 with version 1.3 installed.
  2. Download latest CoD2x build from cod2x.me (the latest CoD2x_*_windows.zip build).
  3. Extract these files into your Call of Duty 2 folder and replace existing files if prompted:
    • mss32.dll
    • mss32_original.dll

Final structure should include entries like:

  • CoD2SP_s.exe
  • gfx_d3d_mp_x86_s.dll

The archive may also contain files that are not required to install:

This is a known issue on modern Windows. Install CoD2x to fix it. If it persists:

  1. Right-click CoD2MP_s.exe
  2. Go to Properties > Compatibility
  3. Check Run in compatibility mode for Windows XP (SP3)
  4. Check Disable fullscreen optimizations

If you're on laptop GPUs, force high-performance mode for CoD2 in Windows graphics settings.

Use stable values in your config:

/cl_maxpackets 100 /rate 25000 /snaps 20

Keep FPS stable and avoid packet loss spikes. A wired connection is recommended.
